Planned Parenthood is holding a so-called “Community Forum on Reproductive Justice” at the Eola Community Center (Map) in Aurora on Wednesday, February 11.
The meeting is one of a series taking place around the state as part of an effort to drum up support for Illinois House Bill 5615, now being called the Reproductive Justice and Access Act (RJAA), and Fox Valley Families Against Planned Parenthood will be there to protest.
Join the League from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to let Planned Parenthood know that Illinoisans do not support them or their political agenda.
“This is a critical protest, because it’s all about the pernicious
state bill HB5615, which is essentially FOCA [the "Freedom of
Choice Act"] for Illinois,” said League Communications Director Eric Scheidler.
“HB5615 would wipe out what few restrictions on abortion are in place in Illinois, abolish abstinence education and cement this state’s status as the abortion capital of the midwest.”
Now Planned Parenthood is claiming that, due to unexpected demand, no one can attend the forum unless they had previously RSVP’d and bring a photo ID. They know the League is coming and they’re trying to keep pro-lifers out.
The protest will take place at the Eola Community Center (Map) at 555 S. Eola Road in Aurora from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
