“And the Word Became Flesh and Dwelt Among Us”
Off and on during the past month we have watched snippets of “The Universe” presented locally on the History Channel. It is a truly awesome visual look at those parts of the universe that have been garnered through modern photography including the use of x-ray and radio waves and piecing together thousands of individual photographs of galaxies, stars, dust, planets, suns, black holes, nebulae and you name it.
With University of Florida Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Tebow comes a story of great interest to Pro-Lifers, and that is that Tebow was supposed to have been aborted, if his mother’s doctor had had his way.
Last month, abortionist Alberto Hodari spoke to medical students at Wayne State University in Detroit about his career performing abortions. Video of the entire speech, along with captions, is now available online.
A report out of Albuquerque, New Mexico says abortionist Curtis Boyd’s clinic on Encino Place was torched Friday night by two hooded people seen breaking a window and throwing a can of gasoline into the clinic. They drove away in a black van. One room was damaged by fire and the whole building sustained smoke damage.
Ann and I will attend the funeral of Illinois Congressman and Pro-Life Leader Henry Hyde on Friday, December 7, at 10:00 AM at St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church at 2900 East Main Street in St. Charles, Illinois. For those who cannot attend the funeral, we will have a report on Monday’s Action News.

For the fifth annual “Empty Manger” Christmas Caroling Day on Dec. 22, the Pro-Life Action League is adding a separate tour of abortion facilities in DuPage County. DuPage has been a center of controversy this year over the “Abortion Fortress” Planned Parenthood opened in Aurora. Hundreds of people have gotten involved in pro-life for the first time.
“The Christmas story is a story of hope and joy brought into the world by a newborn baby,” commented League Communications Director Eric Scheidler, who has headed up the pro-life fight in Aurora. “We want abortion-bound mothers in Chicago and the western suburbs to know that their unborn babies are a gift, too.”

In early December, an embassy from the Pro-Life Action League traveled to Denver, Colorado to share ideas and offer guidance to the local pro-life group, Colorado Families Against Planned Parenthood. They are fighting a new Planned Parenthood mega-center like the one the League has been battling in Aurora, Illinois.
The League group included Joe, Ann and Eric Scheidler, attorney Tom Brejcha and sidewalk counselor JT Eschbach. On December 1 the group met with Keith and Jennifer Mason, Will Duffy and other Denver activists to discuss the Denver situation. That afternoon, Joe and Eric appeared on the Bob Enyart Live radio show.
Five members of the League, including our attorney Tom Brejcha and activist JT Eschbach, flew to Denver Friday to spend the weekend with Colorado Families Against Planned Parenthood who are trying to keep the new 58,000 square foot mega abortion mill being built on the grounds of the former Stapleton International Airport, from being completed.

On November 29, America lost a great man: former Congressman Henry Hyde. “Henry Hyde is revered by the pro-life movement for his tireless efforts to protect the innocent, defenseless life in the womb,” said Joseph M. Scheidler, National Director of the Pro-Life Action League.
Cong. Hyde led the Congressional move to prohibit the use of tax dollars to pay for abortions, drafting what came to be known as the Hyde Amendment in 1976.
Scheidler said, “I have often quoted Henry’s words directed to pro-life activists:”
When the time comes as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I’ve often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God and a terror will rip through your soul like nothing you can imagine.
Congressman Henry J. Hyde of Illinois is dead. The man who became famous as a pro-life leader for his sponsorship of the 1976 Hyde Amendment that cut off most federal funding of abortions, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday after suffering ill health for the past year.
