Back To Basics—The Humanity of the Unborn Child

Posted by Joe Scheidler (November 27, 2006 at 9:40 am)

Probably everyone likes to run across an idea being promoted by another group of individual that reflects their own thinking. This is what happened when we received an invitation to a meeting of the Genesee New York Country Right to Life recently.

Ask Lame Duck Congress to Fight For Life

Posted by Joe Scheidler (November 17, 2006 at 9:45 am)

Wouldn’t it be a minor miracle if there were such determination to right the terrible wrong of abortion, that the lame duck Republicans who for only another six weeks still have a majority in both houses of Congress, would use that time to save some lives. Howard Phillips of the Constitution Party thinks something could be done while the Republicans are still in power, and he is asking you to help him, and them, do it.

Making the Unborn Child Real by Showing His Face

Posted by Joe Scheidler (November 13, 2006 at 9:49 am)

It was hard to be humble Friday night in Lincoln, NE while sitting at a head table with Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz and Nebraska Governor David Heineman, among other dignitaries. Ann and I did maintain our composure, however.

We marvel that every major politician in Nebraska is pro-life. How do they do that, we want to know.

Posted by League Staff (November 10, 2006 at 2:55 pm)

GFL Curriculum

Generations for Life, the youth outreach division of the Pro-Life Action League is proud to announce the publication of their fully-revised GFL Curriculum.

“The enthusiasm and dedication of the younger generation is a shot in the arm for the pro-life movement,” the League’s Joe Scheidler commented in a Press Release. “This new curriculum is a timely effort to transform these pro-life teens into the next generation of pro-life leaders.”

The Generations for Life Pro-Life Curriculum educates young people on the value of life and the lifestyle choices that affirm the dignity of each person, born and unborn. Despite Dismal Election Results, Pro-Life Activism Goes On

Posted by Joe Scheidler (November 8, 2006 at 9:51 am)

As President George W. Bush put it, the Republicans took a drubbing Tuesday. With loss of the U.S. House or Representatives and the U.S. Senate, with Democrat governors far outnumbering Republicans, and with the Bar Scene from Star Wars now heading Congressional committees—Nancy Pelosi, Charles Rangel, Barney Frank, Henry Waxman, Ted Kennedy, Patrick Lahey, John Conyers and others—the country is in one big mess!

All Eyes on South Dakota Referendum Tomorrow

Posted by Joe Scheidler (November 6, 2006 at 9:53 am)

Tuesday is that once-every-two-years nail-biter. We will vote early and then listen to the return with charts and diagrams and pictures and try to figure out what it means for the children. Maybe this year with the various referenda on ballets around the country it could mean change for the better.

Abortion Supporters Are Unfit for Elective Office

Posted by Joe Scheidler (November 3, 2006 at 9:56 am)

We apologize profusely for the gap in Action News Hotlines this past week. Our only excuse is that your editor made back to back trips to South Dakota, Michigan and New York in rapid succession, the League held another Truth Tour, and we are in the midst off requests from all over the country from people who turn to us for answers for a myriad of political and ethical questions, all of which absorbs much time, effort and often requires some research. But, here we are again.
