Meet the Pro-Life Action League Staff

The Pro-Life Action League is blessed with a dedicated full- and part-time staff and many wonderful volunteers.

Executive Director, Ann Scheidler

[Ann Scheidler]

League Executive Director Ann Scheidler's involvement with the pro-life movement began in 1973 when her husband, National Director, Joe Scheidler began to work full-time in pro-life work. In 1980, she helped found the League.

In 1990, Ann began working part-time at the League as Assistant Director, a position which gradually became full-time. Since 2000 she has served as Executive Director, and is closely involved with all aspects of the League's work, from public relations and development to activism and outreach.

Ann is a frequent speaker on pro-life activism and sidewalk counseling, and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs. She travels extensively conducting sidewalk counseling training sessions.

Ann holds a bachelor's degree from Mundelein College. She is the mother of seven children, including League staffers Annie Casselman and Eric Scheidler.

League Executive Director Eric Scheidler coordinates many League events, including our Face the Truth Tours, the fight against Planned Parenthood in Aurora, Illinois—called "Ground Zero" by abortion supporters and opponents alike—and other League protests and campaigns. Eric speaks frequently on pro-life activism, marriage and the family to audiences across the country.

Eric also handles media relations and oversees League print and digital publications, including the Action News newspaper. He also assists other pro-life organizations in more effectively communicating the pro-life message.

Eric is the oldest of the seven Scheidler children. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in English studies from the University of Georgia. He and his wife April have eight children.

Eric blogs at Square Zero and Families Against Planned Parenthood.

Communications Director, Matt Yonke

Matt Yonke

Matt Yonke came on staff with the League part time during the 2007 Face the Truth Tour at the invitation of Tour coordinator Eric Scheidler, and became a much valued member of the Tour team. When the pressures of the League's fight against Planned Parenthood in Aurora, Illinois required Eric to hire an assistant, Matt was the obvious choice. He came on staff in October, 2007.

Matt lives in Aurora, Illinois with his wife Erin and their sons Ambrose and Peter. He blogs at Families Against Planned Parenthood and Called to Communion.

Office Manager, Urszula Mihai

Urszula Mihai is a native of Poland. She has a masters degree in Human Resources. In addition to her duties as Office Manger, Urszula is a frequent sidewalk counselor, especially serving Polish-speaking abortion-bound women. She is the mother of two children.
